Toronto Day 2

I wanted to see unique Toronto and took everyone on a walk. There was an area called Kensington Market and I thought it sounded like a fun place to see.
We came across this little restaurant and had to take a picture of Tara, Coley and Abby. Abby loves "hot cheese" sandwiches.

Another spot we stumbled upon.

The shops were very unique. At least the one's we did see but the walk was a bit much. It was a hot day and we headed back to the hotel.

After a swim for the girls and a break for the rest of us, we headed down to the waterfront area. The hotel had a shuttle for us and we headed off.

The waterfront was pretty but didn't have as much as we had hoped so we walked towards the CN Tower and came across this fun museum "town" of trains. They had little buildings and a small track but it wasn't running.

We got to the tower and looked at how far we would be going up.

Courtney found this cute area below the tower and we couldn't resist a snapshot.

On our way to the elevator we saw this Mountie.

At the top......

Looking back down.... We all took a step onto the glass except Pete. I couldn't talk him into it. I have to admit it made my stomach flip when I stood there.

Outside.... Oh the wind!

And some fun facts.....

The kids were troopers as we walked back to the hotel. We did find an underground mall that was supposed to connect back near our hotel. We tried to follow it but the second time we got lost a very nice lady asked if she could help us. We explained what we were trying to do and she let us know it was a very confusing route even for those that lived there. We took her advise and headed back up to the streets and found a really cool spot. This was on the side of a building we were passing. The kids all took turns trying to make the save.

After being underground and playing virtual soccer the walk wasn't so bad. Swimming when we got back to the hotel was a must though.

From Rochester to Toronto

We hopped into my new car and headed off to Toronto. Courtney took some great photos of our rooms views.

We got settled into our room and then went to the nearest mall just to have a look around. We ended up getting dinner there and then we tried the national dish Poutine. It was pretty good. Courtney liked it but Mallory and Connor were sceptical. We tried two types, one was buttered curry chicken and the other was beef.

Once we got back to the hotel the girls wanted to go for a swim. After that we went to the roof top and took some pictures from the hot tubs.
It was a good 1st day.

Family Trip to Upstate New York

We flew out to visit one of my best friends. Tara and I have been friends since high school. We don't get to see each other very often so I was really excited to see her again. The 1st day we were there Coley and Tara took us out on one of the bays of Lake Ontario. Coley did a great job of getting the girls to hit wakes on the tube. This is the 1st time I got to meet Abigail. She's 3 and adorable. I think we tired her out.

Connor enjoyed the smooth ride.

It was a perfect 1st day of our trip.

A Trip to San Diego

So, no this isn't my kid. This is Adam and he is the reason I got to go to San Diego by myself. I flew down to see the Afualo's and I got to be there for Adam's baptism and Luau. I had a really fun time. Thank you Adam for turning 8!

I don't have any other pictures because I forgot my camera every other day. I loved the sun (enjoying it at a good temp instead of being at home where we were having 90 degree loveliness) and seeing Rach and the family. Thank you for having me!
