Night of the Notables

Courtney had her Night of the Notables before I went to Crescent City. She was Eleanor Roosevelt. The kids have to learn about their person, write a paper on them and dress like them for their night. The adults have to ask yes or no questions to try to figure out who they are.
It is always a fun night. Pete likes to embarrass the kids. That's why he comes. (Other than supporting his kid.)

Last day in Cabo and home....

Mal took a picture of Pete and I because she's really loving being the photographer. The ship had moved a bit and we were able to see the arch from our room for awhile. This crew member did the Mickey in ice for an activity.
We went down to the Wavebands lounge to learn how to fold the towels into animals with Courtney and Mallory. This is our monkey.
Mallory made a really good friend on the cruise. I think she spent more time with Faith and her family than us!
This is our room with the beds down. It really was roomier than I had anticipated.
Pete and I went to the Wavebands lounge Adults only area to see the activities crew put on a skit. It was pretty funny!
This was the hall to wavebands and other adult only area's. The theme was route 66.
By the time we thought of getting pictures of the kids in their clubs, they were closed so we got pictures of the signs.

Connor liked the theater. Cheese!
Leaving the ship I saw Donald and a nephew on the back of it. I hadn't noticed them the whole time!
We had a wonderful time on the cruise. The kids loved the freedom that they had and Pete and I enjoyed our alone time, one on one time with the kids, and family time. A good vacation.

Cabo San Lucas

We pulled into Cabo and stayed in the bay. This was our view. We took a tender to Cabo from the ship. We found the girls some wraps and some new friends.
The pelicans were all over in the harbor. They seemed like our seagulls.
The sea lions were playing in the harbor too.
On our way back to the ship.
We hadn't stayed very long in Cabo so the ship was pretty empty for awhile. We enjoyed the pool while we had it to ourselves.
They had music videos playing and movies on throughout the day on the big screen called the Funnel Vision.

Sunset turned the rocks pink.
The theme for the evening was Pirate Night!! Our dinner was in the Animator's Palate. Our waiters were wonderful. They served us each night wherever we were scheduled to eat. It made it really nice. Robert knew exactly what the girls wanted for drinks and always had us laughing. Sam always had a mind teaser to finish off our meal.

After dinner they had a Pirate Party mid-ship on deck 9. They took us out of the bay so that we could enjoy some fireworks!

Another good day.

Puerto Vallarta

In Puerto Vallarta we went on a whale watching/ swimming with the dolphins excursion. It was a beautiful day to head out.Courtney was having a blast on the little boat. We got to see a mommy humpback whale with her calf. We followed them for most of the morning. Connor has some video that caught the baby whale waving it's flipper at us.
A shot of Puerto Vallarta
We went and found a pod of dolphins too. We could get in with them if we wanted. Pete was really close to some.
This is how close they would come. Well actually some would swim right under the boat!
This was one of our guides. If you look at the dark spot to the left, that's a dolphin!
Coming in from the days outing.
Our ship in port. There was a Wal- Mart right across the street. Kind-of funny.
We had a really good day.

Disney Cruise

Andy drove us to the port in weather most suited for Oregon. It was raining and windy but we ( I ) had high hopes of seeing the sun before too long. In the port terminal they had the Disney channel playing on a big screen and had characters come out to see the kids periodically while they waited to board the ship. We were in group 3 for boarding and didn't have too long to wait. This is the first picture on the ship. They had us go up to deck 9 to the Beach Blanket Buffet for lunch. After we had eaten they had the Adventure's Away party but because it was such terrible weather they had it mid-ship inside. It was a bit crowded but was fun. For our first breakfast the waiters made hats out of napkins for us. This was a characters breakfast where they came to each of the tables for pictures too.

The port holes on the 3rd deck were huge.
A very fun and different experience.
