Swimming Lessons

Summer is just flying right by! The kids started swimming lessons July 15 and wew are now taking the second session in. Curtis Williams is their swim instuctor. He is fantastic! They have been in classes with his helper teacher too. They are doing great. After not having lessons last summer, I thought they might have forgotten what they've learned but they jumped right in and picked up where they left off. Way to go guys!

Sometimes we bike over and have even taken Hershey in the "buggy". She does pretty good and has gotten better at traveling. We took her to the Drive-in. That was her longest car ride so far and she did great. She met some dogs there before the show (eight to be exact, the kids tell me) and she curled up in one of the camping chairs when she'd had enough. We saw Walle and Get Smart. We loved Walle.

I took the kids down to Mom and Dad Allsop's house over the weekend. It was good to see them. It had been a year since we were in Crescent City.

This trip there were a bunch of Pelican's at the beach. I hadn't seen them before and it was neat to see them all together. The kids had fun on the rocks, playing in the waves and letting their feet sink into the sand. It was a little windy and cold but that didn't stop them from trying to get as wet as they could without getting in trouble.

They also had a good time watching the horses and cows across the street from grandma's and we also saw a few blue heron's in the field. A good animal seeing trip. We stopped at Aunt Denise's and Uncle Joe's new house. They live in Gasquet now. They have gorgeous plants everywhere! The kids also got to meet their dog Lucy. She is a very good dog. It was a good thing they met her on our way home because they started missing Hershey alot more after seeing a dog.

The trip was quick but fun, (thanks for having us mom!) and we made it home in one piece. Thank heavens!
